A few days ago I was talking to one of our members who remarked that she had accidentally erased all the images from the card while it was still in camera. These were shots taken during the recent snowfall. She has since used the card while taken more photographs. I told her to let me have the card and I would try to recover the images. I downloaded a free programme from the internet called 'Recuva'. I ran the card through the programme and within 15 mins I was given the chance to recover over 1200 files!. Knowing that it was only the snow pictures that were wanted I finished up actually recovering all the files taken in the last 6 months on that card, a total of 120 files. I strongly reccommend downloading this small programme.
A second win for Phil Passfield following his success in the December round. A great image Phil.
This month sees us taking 'A walk in the Woods' Quite an open competition regarding subjects. Bluebells, Fungii, Toadstools, Birds, Leaves, Trunks etc spring to mind. Some of you have already sent your entries to me but there's plenty of room for more!
My choice of website this time is a BBC one http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-21040639 These are pictures sent in by readers and the theme is Skies. I think when most of us take pictures we tend to leave out the sky. In this set of pictures more emphasis is put on the sky and you will find some stunning pics. Take a look and make a mental note cos it's quite possible that 'Skies' will be one of the Monthly Rounds next season.
Two clubs have held a round in our group. We came 5th in one group and 4th in the other. The judge at Ivybridge marked very low across the board. Perhaps judges in Anglia are too kind? See how you done by clicking the 'Challenge Trophy' button on the Homepage. We hold our round on February 21st.
That's all for now..Don't forget to get your images to me for the online competition.
