Overall winners are North Norfolk with 1079 points followed by Colchester in 2nd place with 1057 and Tonbridge in 3rd with 1028 points so congratulations to North Norfolk

2023/4 CHALLENGE TROPHY RULES
The Mersea Island Challenge Trophy, is open to 12 clubs including the organising club Mersea Island Photographic Society For the 2023/4 competition the 12 clubs from 2022/3 have confirmed that they will be participating.
1. Each club shall submit 5 digital images for the core competition plus an additional image to be used in a tie break competition (6 images in total).
Images shall not have been used in any previous years MICT competition.
Images must reach Dick Waylen by Sunday 31st December 2023. images may be on disc or emailed including the use of cloud services (example dropbox or https://wetransfer.com/) email: [email protected]
Size of images, recognising that most federations and most clubs use 1600 x 1200-pixel image size clubs are requested to submit two sets of images, one set at 1600 x 1200 pixels and a second set at 1400 x 1050 pixels in jpeg format (this recognises that some clubs are unable to project 1600 x 1200 pixel images) Colour Space should be sRGB.
2. Files should be named as follows:
Number – First 3 letters of club name – Author - Title.jpeg
Example; 003 - Mer - B Bloggs - Rusty Winch.jpeg
Please include a space either side of hyphens. (It is important that apart from where shown no punctuation marks are used within the title i.e name is B Bloggs not B.Bloggs.) Numbers will be used to determine the running order of each clubs’ images; they will be allocated a different number when assembled for the competition to reflect the actual running order as shown on the score sheet which will be issued when the entries are distributed at the end of December / early January. Images numbered 001 to 005 must be by different authors, image numbered 006 will be used in the “tie break competition” and may be by one of the authors of images 001 to 005 or another author.
3. Each club shall appoint a judge for their round and judges shall award each image a mark 1-20 (no half marks allowed) Judges should have previous experience at judging interclub competitions. Each round can be judged live, pre-judged and displayed at a live meeting or via a digital meeting (example Zoom, MS Teams or other), or any mix as determined by the host club.
4. A copy of the completed scoresheet must be emailed to all other clubs as soon as possible after each round of the competition.

6. In the event of a tie between clubs in the main competition, the tie break competition scores will be used. If a tie still results then the lowest scoring images from each tying club will be discarded until a winner results. The challenge trophy shield will be held by the winning club for 1 year and engraving is the responsibility of the winners.
7. Copyright of images remain with the authors.
8. By entering the competition, each participating club authorises the other participating clubs to display the images for internal club meetings at the resolution submitted. (Not for open public display).
9. Each participating club will hold the images and author data in confidence paying due respect to the GDPR legislation. If a club wishes to put any images from the competition on its club website then they must take action to prevent unauthorised copying, for example by inserting a watermark, or displaying low resolution images.
