Welcome...to the Mersea Island Photographic Society website.  This site is intended to provide you with all the latest information and to be a point of contact for all club matters.
Our aim is to promote and foster all aspects of photography, to support and encourage individuals to improve their photographic skills, and to maintain a friendly and positive atmosphere.  Our members have a varied level of experience, from absolute beginner to more advanced photographer.  Each year we strive to provide a diverse and high quality programme of events and activities to meet their interests and requirements.  We encourage visits by individuals and groups with similar interests, and regularly organise competitive and non-competitive events for the participation, enjoyment and benefit of all.
If you want to learn new skills, develop new techniques or simply spend time with like-minded people, then M.I.P.S is for you.
The club season lasts from September to May with  meetings held at The Mersea Museum, West Mersea at 7:45pm on alternateThursday evenings. A full  programme on forthcoming meetings can be obtained by clicking on button above.
This web site aims to gives a broad idea of what the club can offer. Have a look around, and view some of our pictures. If you are interested in finding out more, why not come along one evening? There are no formalities - just make yourself known to a committee member.

The clubs usual season lasts from September to May with meetings held at The Mersea Museum, High Street, West Mersea, CO5 8SD, at 7:45pm on alternate Thursday evenings.
