COMPETITION RULES 2009 - 2010
1.No image may be entered in the normal club competitions if it has previously been awarded a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, in a previous normal club competition.
PRINTS
a) There is a maximum entry of 3 prints per member per competition, which can be entered between the Blackwater Section and the Strood section. This can be 3 in one category or 2 in one category and 1 in the other.
b) 1 point will be given for each entry. If awarded a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place this point is not given
6 points awarded for 1st place
4 points awarded for 2nd place
3 points awarded for 3rd place
At the end of the year the person gaining the highest total number of points in each category will be awarded the annual trophy for that category.
c) BLACKWATER SECTION (Trophy – Annual Print Trophy)
The BLACKWATER section is for Prints of 10”x 8” and over and is open to all members. Digitally imaged prints will be allowed in this section and along with photographically produced prints may include any form of manipulation that the photographer desires.
d) STROOD SECTION (Trophy – The Peter Cowper Trophy)
The STROOD section is for prints 6”x 4” up to 10”x 8” and is open to all members.
Digitally imaged prints will be allowed in this section along with photographically produced prints, but must be as close to the original negative/image as possible. The only manipulation permissible will be limited to dodging,burning,spotting and cropping. Other forms of manipulation, ie toning,hand tinting,sandwiching or any extreme form of manipulation will not be allowed
SLIDES
A maximum entry of 3 slides per member per competition.
Points will be awarded as with Prints.
PROJECTED IMAGES
a) There is a maximum of 3 images per person per competition.
b) Points will be awarded as with Prints.
c) Images must be resized to a maximum of 1024 pixels wide and no more than 768 pixels high and in JPEG format. File size not to exceed 450 kb.
d) Images may be submitted by E-mail, USB Memory Stick or on CD-Rom.
e) Closing dates will be as published in programme or announced at club meetings.
